Andrea Cook, MPIA, CPP (Director) is an urban and regional planner specialising in strategic planning, community planning, consultation techniques, community participation practices, community safety and Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED), community health and social planning. She has worked, in Victoria, with a number of local governments, State government, the private sector and the tertiary education sector. Andrea has also worked overseas on international development projects.

Andrea is a Certified Practicing Planner (CPP) and full member (MPIA) of the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA), committed to the code of conduct and the continuing professional development protocols and training offered by the Institute. Andrea is also a member of the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2). Andrea’s planning, community participation and community safety work has been acknowledged by more than 15 major awards for excellence (state, national and international) in planning and community safety. Red Road Facilitators (from a pool of approximately twenty trained and experienced facilitators) are available to projects that require large event facilitation support (e.g. SpeakOuts, large Workshops and so on).

Red Road Facilitators have access to Red Road Consulting facilitation training programs and are experienced at working in a range of methods from small scale and creative targeted research methods to large event facilitation/recording. All Community Facilitators associated with Red Road Consulting have strategic and/or social planning qualifications and/or experience and can augment local facilitator resources on any project.
